- EVA PERSY
Eva Persy studied Food- and Biotechnology in Vienna and made her M.Sc. in Resources Management and Environmental Sciences at UBC (Vancouver, Canada) – followed some time later by a MBA at the University of Economics and Business Administration, Vienna.
Involved in “OekoKauf Wien” - The Green Public Procurement Program of the City of Vienna, she became in 2004, deputy program manager of “the programme. Since 2008, she is head of the unit “Sustainable Development” within the Environmental Department (City of Vienna) as well as Sustainable Development Coordinator for the City of Vienna.
The accomplishments of ÖkoKauf Wien have come to receive international recognition: for example, the EU has commissioned a video on “ÖkoKauf Wien” as a best practice model for all EU members in the field of eco-friendly procurement. The film was shown at the Green Week in Brussels, and broadcast across Europe in seven different languages.
