- Gianluigi SCANNAPIECO
Director, Plans and Programs Department, Veneto Region, Italy
Gianluigi Scannapieco received his medical degree from the University of Padova, and then specialized in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Preventive Medicine. He has practiced as a doctor in Italy for 24 years in hospital (Internal Medicine), working mainly on Coagulation and Thrombosis. Since 2005, he is Director of the Department of Innovation, Development and Planning of Treviso Local Health Authority, Veneto, Italy. His principal fields of interest are clinical management and ICT innovation: he coordinated projects such as Electronic Health Record, Personal Health Record, and the European-financed Telemedicine projects Health Optimum and Renewing Health. He is member of the Scientific Committee of the Consortium Arsenal.it, Veneto's Research Center of eHealth Innovation. He published more than 130 articles on major scientific and international journals in the medical-biological field.
