- JOSEPH HAJJAR
Doctor Joseph Hajjar has been running the Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology at Valence Hospital for around fifteen years. Previously he had spent 20 years working in the field of anaesthesia and resuscitation. He is a member of the Patient Safety Expert Committee at the Haut Conseil de Sante Publique (France’s Superior Public Health Authority) and is registered in the national list of medical accident experts. Elected in June 2007 as Chairman of the French Hospital Hygiene Society, he is an active member of the Sustainable Development and Hygiene Committee set up by the society in 2008. This committee is tasked with considering methods for integrating environmental progress into professional practices while maintaining safety standards in terms of the risk of infection
