- Karin JOHANSSON

Karin Johansson is a graduate in political science and public administration from Stockholm University. In the eighties and at the beginning of the nineties, she held various sales and marketing positions in the IT sector. In 1993, she began her political career as advisor as part of the Prime Minister’s private staff. After the elections in September 1994, she returned to the IT industry and became sales director of France Telecom in Sweden. In 1999, she joined Microsoft, which she left in 2006 after having held the position of sales and marketing director. She was appointed State Secretary in charge of healthcare and welfare in October 2006. Previously, she had also chaired the Swedish public radio and Blekinge Institute of Technology Boards of Directors, and was a non-executive member of the Swedish lottery Board of Directors.
