- Lucien ENGELEN
Lucien Engelen (1962) has worked since 2007 at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre as Head of the regional acute healthcare network. He also advises the Board in terms of changes in healthcare enhancing the participation of the patients and their informal care in their own disease, working towards Participatory Healthcare.
Central is his thinking and inspiring is what he calls Participatory Healthcare. "Their health is taken away from them, their data is being kept away from them, and we make choices for them. Patients want to be part of their own disease again."
