As former university researcher and dermatologist Leonard Witkamp has founded KSYOS TeleMedical Center, the first officially recognized virtual health institution in The Netherlands. KSYOS has contracted over 3000 health workers, who consult each other for their patients, thus preventing 70% of hospital visits, reducing 50% of cost and increasing quality of care. KSYOS has performed over 40.000 TeleConsultations in cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology and pulmonology. KSYOS TeleConsultation is reimbursed and fully integrated into the regular health system.
