Dr Stéphane Denépoux received a bi-national training in Immunology at UT South-western Medical School in Texas and at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon in France, and conducted research both in academia and at Schering-Plough laboratories before joining the Roche Group in Basel. He then drifted away from the bench and served the construction - with French Prime Minister Raymond Barre - of The World Life Sciences Forum, BioVision, a Davos meeting equivalent for the Life Sciences Sector. Serving as Director of Programme of BioVision he helped establish an education programme in BioVision.Nxt, a biobusiness convention BioSquare and launched with Dr Ismail Serageldin at the Great Library of Alexandria a brother forum dedicated to the promotion of the Life Sciences Sector in Developing Countries. Strong advocate of the European construction, Stéphane Denépoux recently encompassed the task of promoting the Innovative Medicines Initiatives in France, a unique public-private partnership programme launched by the European Commission in partnership with the association of European Pharmaceutical Companies.
